So you’ve probably noticed the redesign — and my new, red-lipsticked, super-contemplative author photo. Well, it’s all because I have a new book coming out in July, and it’s something a little different…
Dangerous Girls isn’t like my other teen books. It opens with a murder, for a start. And after that? Things get a whole lot darker and more twisted! It’s fun, sure, and a thrilling read, but definitely older in tone than Getting Over Garrett Delaney and Jane Austen Goes to Hollywood. That’s why I decided to use a family name and publish it under the name Abigail Haas, so you wouldn’t accidentally pick it up and be in for a shock. (“Wait, Abby, why is there all this blood? Where are the cute boys and kissing?!)
I had so much fun writing this book, I can’t wait to share it all with you. And we just got the first big review in — Kirkus say it’s, “A compulsively readable, hair-raising snapshot of 21st-century legal spectacle.” So now you have to go check it out!
Stay tuned for more updates, including embarrassing videos where I try to gleefully talk about writing a twisty murder book — without looking like a sociopath!
